Landon is a little boy!
It's amazing how much he has changed this summer

He's becoming much more vocal...dog, yeah, yes, mine, more, this, that, moo, momma, dada, duck and baby are his words of choice
Toy Story 3 is a huge hit at our house. We discovered it when he was sick (I didn't realize people still got croup) and he's been hooked ever since. It actually holds his attention for 3/4 of the movie
Swimming lessons went really well and we've spent a lot of time at the Fircrest pool. They have a special wading pool that Landon really enjoys. We bought him his own pool for the house that he broke in this weekend. He especially likes that it's an alligator.

We've also been taking a lot of walks...well, we walk and Landon trots and runs. (Check out the picture with his tongue out--so cute!) He loves to explore and spends countless hours going down the slide at our local playground.
Jim and I had a rare date night in early July for his co-worker's wedding. We got all dressed up and headed to Seattle for a night of fun and great food. And, we were treated to our daily 6 a.m. wake up call!
We leave for Kauai in 30 days!!
We got together with Misty, Shayne and Sam at Point Defiance last weekend. Landon wasn't too thrilled with me holding the baby. He whined at first and wanted me to pick him up too. Then, he shunned me and wouldn't even look in my direction. After about 15 minutes, he became curious, walked over and gently touched Sam's bare toes. In the car on the way home, I asked Landon if momma and daddy should have a baby and he furiously shook his head "no."
As I was rocking Landon tonight, he reached down and grabbed hold of my hand and just held it. I gave him a hug and smelled his sticky head...dirt, some sweetness, a little bit of sweat and that classic "baby" smell. Funny how the simplest things are the most special.
